Simulation based on a real Helicopter

Designed for Turkey Police Aviation Dep., Heliko is based on a real Alouette SA-318C cockpit. It is currently used by Istanbul police bureau of aviation in a special simulation room built also by X-Wishes Flight.

Outside view is projected to a concave wall thanks to two projection situated high above where normally pals are. Cockpit panel view is simulated by two 20” LCD display.

What is so special about Heliko is, it is controlled by its original pedal and collective and it work coherently with the software.

Multi Projection System

  • 22 foot width x 9 foot height projected on a concave wall with a 180º view.
  • With 3 DLP projection, outside view is projected by merging 3 “1280 x 800” resolution in a single view.
  • With 2000:1 contrast ratio 2500 ANSI lumens. Thanks to Matrox system 3 projections transform into single one.
  • It works with a 180º GROW system.

Pilot and Co-Pilot Seats

Real size real seat with grey leather. Plus, seats have the vibration. All adjustable handles etc. working.

Controls

Original controls of the Alouette SA-318C are kept and made working. Original dual cyclic, collective, torques pedals and throttle, adjustable pedal is available.

Switch Panels

  • Fully geared avionic system is right in the middle of the console and 2 20" LCD displays are positioned as original.

  • Master Switch

  • Cockpit audio on/off
  • Side lights on/off
  • Ceiling Lights on/off

Cockpit lights

All instruments enlightens as in original. Chart lights are also available.

PC Configuration

  • Single computer
  • PC provides: Triple projection sytem, flight controls, cockpit panel, weather conditions and flight problems.
  • Windows® XP Pro.
  • Wireless keyboard and touchpad.

Software

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator X
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004
  • 3 helicopter flight simulation mode (piston and tribune). MD600N, Bell 206 and Blackhawk add-ons.
  • With additional help from third party applications you can design your own environment (airports, hangars etc.)

Seat Vibration System

Surround 5.1 audio provides and additional vibration and environmental sounds. System is also good for low frequency sounds

Sound and Intercom

Pilot & co-pilot can communicate via Intercom while there is a lot of noise inside the cabin.

Instructor control center

  • Single 20" LCD display (hung), a rotatable PC platform, 2 shelf, desk and chair.
  • Main power on/off.
  • Lightings in command center
  • Replays are available as in cockpit or outside cam
  • Instructor only “error panel” controllable vie cockpit or desk. Wireless keyboard and touchpad.
  • You could choose the weather you like, including presipitation.
  • Different wind and cloud density is adjustable in different altitudes.
  • Live-weather flights.
  • Changing weather conditions during the flight locally or globally, if needed

Electricity

The cockpit works with 220V. Only the lights run with a 12V battery. Operating systems are connected to fuse in the back. All systems are backup with a UPS.
